The Royal Exchange pub has been named pub of the year in mid Staffordshire, the titanic brewery pub was awarded this honor by Camra’s heart of Staffordshire branch.
The Royal Exchange is known for its well kept beer, local food and generally being friendly, everything one could want from a pub, well maybe a deer head on the wall but thats just me. It is also an active member in the local community as well, something that Camra has been trying to promote more recently, it hosts several, clubs and societies which helps this pub stay part of the local community.
“We are proud of the Royal Exchange and how it has grown to become part of the community. It serves as a venue for several societies in the town, including the Yarn of Ale Knitting Group and Stone Photographers. The pub also holds regular events, such as the Monday night jazz club.
“The CAMRA award is also pleasing recognition for the quality of the beer and the way the pub staff led by landlady Michelle Hughes serve it. Along with our own range of fleet and special ales, we stock a range of guest beers from across the UK.”
